The Flux Foundation is a non-profit arts organization that engages people in designing and building large-scale, community-based public art. We are particularly interested in empowering women in contemporary art practice, fabrication and other practical skills and creating a supportive, hands-on educational environment for all genders.
By supporting the Temple of Flux, you are also supporting the development of the Flux Foundation. It is our aim to establish ourselves as a community-base art group that provides ongoing opportunities for people to participate in the design and creation of art in Oakland, a center of world-renowned, large-scale art. The Temple of Flux is the maiden project of this endeavor. We invite you to be part of our quest to inspire and engage people to advocate for and support large-scale participatory art in our communities.
